Martin Beckmann is a lawyer (since 2010) and engineer (since 1988). He is a lawyer registered on the list of trainee lawyers of the French-speaking Order of the Brussels Bar from May 2024.

As a lawyer, Martin has advised a diverse and international clientele since 2010 in matters of contract law, property law, data protection law, private international law, intellectual property law, competition, corporate law and other areas of law in which his dual training and experience as an engineer can be useful.

He has also represented clients in court in administrative law and disciplinary law proceedings in the Netherlands.

Martin is also active in the field of international arbitration and is a member of several arbitration institutes, including LCIA, CEPANI, GMAA and TAMI. He usually sits as an arbitrator with specialized knowledge of the subject matter in dispute, but is also fully qualified and capable of acting as counsel. He has completed numerous training courses on international arbitration and is familiar with the different approaches taken to arbitration around the world.

As an engineer, Martin has extensive experience in product and software development (much of it in highly regulated industries such as aviation and railways), systems engineering, management of projects and teams and contract management.

Its primary goal is to bridge the gap between technology and law and between practitioners of these professions.

Martin works in Dutch, German, English and French.
